Introducing Fr. Bill Krieger and his wife, Paulette
Fr. Bill came to us after serving four years at All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church, Sun City AZ, as Associate for Pastoral Care and as Priest-in-Charge. He met his wife, Paulette, while both were undergraduates at Purdue University. Fr. Bill went on to receive his Ph.D. in Engineering and Paulette her M.S. in Child Development and Family Studies. His career in offshore platform design and construction began in Houston TX and included international assignments in Scotland, London, and Finland.
After discerning a call to ordained ministry, Fr. Bill entered seminary in 2001. He graduated from Church Divinity School of the Pacific in May 2004, receiving the Fran Toy Prize for multi-cultural ministry. He was ordained to the transitional deaconate in June 2004 and to the priesthood in December of that year.
While at All Saints of the Desert, Fr. Bill served as Stephen Leader, facilitator for Walking the Mourner's Path, chaplain for Daughters of the King, Bible study leader for the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, convener of the Elder Ministry program group for the Diocese of Arizona, and one of two clergy representatives who attended the Diocese of Western Mexico's 2008 annual convention in Guadalajara.
Paulette was employed as a social worker for foster children and licensed foster homes in CA. While in Phoenix she was an adult probation officer. Paulette is soon to be licensed as a personal trainer in Yuma, currently working at Snap Fitness in the Foothills.
Fr. Bill and Paulette have three children: Louis, who has a Masters in Social Work and lives with his wife Nikki in Las Vegas; James, working on his doctorate in mechanical engineering at UC San Diego; and Shiloh who lives with her husband Joseph Beckerley in San Diego and is working on her doctorate in psychology, also at UCSD.
When Fr. Bill came to St. Paul's, he was purposefully vague in referring to his wife of 37 years, leaving it to others to wonder whether that was her age or how long they had been married. He remains purposefully vague.☺
They are both delighted to be at to St. Paul's! |
